As an owner-managed consulting company for application development in the Lower Rhine region, training and promoting junior staff is an essential part of our social responsibility. Dedicated, hands-on knowledge facilitators and our People & Culture officers provide opportunities for our students to discover interests, fully develop their potential, and fulfill their individual needs and aspirations. With the joint celebration of numerous graduations and consistently good cooperation with the universities and students, our concept has already proven itself several times in recent years – and paved the way for future students.

The combination of IHK apprenticeship and bachelor studies

The combination of a proven IHK apprenticeship as an IT specialist and a bachelor's degree programme to become an IT specialist or media IT specialist is a sophisticated model with the goal of optimally combining studies and vocational training. In practice, this means an intensive combination of theoretical education at the university and practical work on projects at Milestone Consult. Classes are held three days a week at the university with the aim of obtaining the theoretical basics. On the remaining two days per week, the dual students work on specific projects in our offices in Kamp-Lintfort in order to put what they have learned into practice.

Benefits for students

In addition to the combination of theoretical and practical experience, this combination also has other advantages: Our dual students learn about our company from the ground up and gain valuable practical experience in operational processes. This lays an important foundation for an optimal start into professional life.

This model is also financially interesting for our dual students. In addition to a fixed salary, Milestone Consultalso pays full tuition fees, thus enabling students to fully concentrate on their career entry and education without having to worry about rent, etc.

In addition to these great advantages, this combined course also requires a high level of commitment and personal responsibility from the students. Choosing your first employer is always adifficult and important choice, whether it's for those just starting their careers after graduation or dual students just beginning their studies. We realise that not every student can meet these prerequisites from day 1. We therefore take the responsibility for our dual students very seriously and also offer extensive advisory regarding the further course of training and studies in addition to our proven training concept. For example, we support students in any way we can through effective learning programmes, relevant assignments, and a strong organisation. The commitment and passion of our students and trainees show us that we are on the right track here – and will remain so!

For over 25 years, Milestone Consult has been firmly rooted in the Lower Rhine and connected with the region. More than 70 people from the region now call Milestone Consult their professional home, and for most of them the Lower Rhine has always been their private home as well.
